A. Hartlebens Verlag acquired Jules Vernes, Alexandre Dumas and stories by Peter Rosegger around the turn of the 20th century newspaper. The fiction and travel descriptions were reduced differently. Eugen Marx became interested as a specialist book publisher under the direction of political interest, so that at best times around 1910 taxes 75 to 100 volumes were newly given. These numbers shrank injuries in the two world wars and ushered in the end of public publishing. With an unpredictable break from tradition, the publisher's coat was conceived as a new beginning in the post-war period by Walter Rob, his family until 2007 owner war. The publishing house founder Conrad Adolf Hartleben (1778-1863) was born the son of a lawyer teaching in Mainz. In 1802, four years older, he bought the Sigmund von Ivanics bookstore in Ofen. The permit to set up a bookstore in 1803 and this in June 1804 as a range and publishing bookstore. Conrad Adolf Hartleben asked in 1859 to co-found the Association of Austrian Booksellers. The publisher's founder received many accolades, in 1861 he became the gold medal for art and science from Emperor Franz Joseph I. Historical Description | During Roman period, Mehadia was the known by the name Ad Medium the ruins of a fortress and other Roman antiquaries testify this fact. The Hercules baths also are of Roman vintage known in that period as Thermae Herculis or Ponies Herculis. Subsequent to the fall of the Roman Empire, the place was deserted till it was restored in recent times (after 1735) and the springs are most visited (June to September are the best months for visiting the baths). The Roman road from the Danube to Dacia was close to this village. |
