Representation of the destruction of Jerusalem of the Romans. In 66 AD, an uprising in Rome's troubled province of Judea resulted in the Jewish-Roman War. It ended in September 70 with the complete destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans.

Jean Covens und Corneille Mortier where brothers in law, who continued the bussines, founded of Pierre Mortier in 1685 in Amsterdam. They called it Covens & Mortier. They extended their buissines in buying the company of De Witt.
