Gustave Fraipont was a painter, sculptor, illustrator and poster-designer. Born in Belgium, he later became a naturalised French citizen.

Historical Description

From the Middle Ages until the early 19th century, Cannes was a fishing village. In the 1830s, French and foreign aristocrats came to the area and built vacation homes. To this day, the city is considered a “meeting place for the rich and famous” and has retained its sophisticated character.
