Fleisch-rothe Margen-Röslein, ohne düppeln). In 1613 Besler published two versions of the Hortus Eystettensis. The first version consisted of a high-quality small edition, printed on one side, mostly coloured. The second version was a cheaper book trade edition without the accompanying texts, which were already controversial at the time, for cost reasons. The first printings can be recognised by their watermarks and single-sided printing.
