Plate 301 shows three illustrations of a round-leaved bellflower (lat. Campanula rotundifolia), a purple bindweed (lat. Ipooea purpurea ROTH) and a funnel bindweed (lat. Ipooea nil). In 1613, the first edition of the magnificent Hortus Eystettensis was published, produced by the pharmacist, botanist, collector, engraver and publisher Basilius Besler from Nuremberg. 2013 was the 400th anniversary of the first edition!
