The detailed map shows the area of Tortona, Villavernia, Garbagna, Volpedo, S. Sebastiano in the Piemont region. With Emilia Romana and the cities Städten Varzi, Ottone, Zavatarello and Bobbio. With decorative coat of arm of Tortona and Bobbio. The town became part of the domains of the House of Savoy in 1748 after the Wars of Succession and formed the Province of Bobbio. In 1347, Tortona was decisively incorporated into the territories of the Duchy of Milan, under which remained until 1735. Then following the vicissitudes of the War of the Polish Succession, the city was occupied by the King of Sardinia, and count of Tortona was added to the titles of the House of Savoy. | |
